On September 22 and 23, global IP leaders, litigation experts and executives from innovative industries met at the Munich IP Forum, held at the Hotel Rosewood Munich. This year’s focus was on reflecting on the first two years of the UPC, coupled with a cautious look toward the future. UPC judges Margot Kokke, Prof. Dr. Peter Tochtermann, and Ronny Thomas shared their perspectives on topics such as equivalent patent infringement and preliminary injunctions. The panel discussions conveyed a confident outlook after the first two years of the UPC, with a strong level of acceptance for the new court, at least within certain industry sectors.

Our partner Richard Schachtner took advantage of this opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas with experts from the legal profession and from industry.

The Munich IP Forum provides a platform for discussing current developments, challenges, and opportunities in the IP industry and for networking with decision-makers from the industry.
